Automatic translation is expected to work as the ultimate means for breaking this barrier.

The target of automatic translation is incredibly diverse in that the number of languages is over 6,000, the input is done through various devices such as keyboard, camera, and microphone, the domains encompass a wide spectrum ranging from travel conversation to newswire.
